Impossible Card Magic DVD (Kosby) - £37.00
Ray Kosby's card magic is quick, visual, and is guaranteed to have a powerful impact on any audience. Impossible Card Magic is a perfect title for this program. Every item is impossible to figure out when you first see it -- you will be fooled. All the routines are very creative in both effect and method. Routines performed and explained:
Smudge: The card case is used as a vacuum cleaner to visually erase the center pip of a three. The three is now a two and an ace is found inside the card case.
Recased: The cards are removed from a card case and the case is put away. In an instant the case is back in your hand with the cards back inside.
Pac Jacks: A sandwich routine where fifty-one cards visually appear sandwiched between two jacks while the selection remains in the hand where the deck was a moment ago.
Deep Thought: A spectator thinks of a card seen in the deck. The deck is shuffled and fanned. A single card is pulled out of the fan so it sticks out of the deck. The spectator names her card as the deck is turned over to show the card sticking out of it is the thought-of selection.
Raise Rise: One of the routines Ray is best known for is this visual ambitious card sequence where a signed selection is placed near the bottom of the deck so it sticks out half its length. All of a sudden it visually jumps to the middle, near the top, it becomes the top card and finally ends up on the bottom of the deck -- you will not believe your eyes.
Venus Fly Trap: Two queens are placed together face up in the deck so they are sticking out for half their length. A card is selected and placed face down protruding from the deck. In an instant the two queens seem to jump through the deck and encircle the selection.
Half Right: A quick and visual torn-and-restored card routine where a card is torn in half and then restored as the spectator pulls it out of the deck.
Freedom Of Choice: A spectator freely touches the backs of four cards as the deck is being spread between your hands. The touched cards are pushed forward. When the spread is turned up the four cards are shockingly seen to be the four aces.
Oil And Water: A devious three phase oil and water routine like no other. It is quick, visual and easy to follow as four red cards and four black cards magically separate and remix.
The Other Cheek: Three selected cards are held face down in your hand. A quick shake causes them to visually turn face up one at a time. The effect and method are unbelievable.
Jack In Box: A jack is placed on top of a card case and in an instant it vanishes to reappear inside the case.
Out Of Space: An impossible looking routine which begins with four kings. As the kings are counted three aces appear between them. H.G. Wells' Time Machine: An audience member thinks of a year in the seventeenth century and writes it on an envelope containing a modern coin. The coin envelope is held by the audience member and remains in full view throughout. Upon opening the envelope an old pirate coin is found to have the thought of date engraved on it. Proving that the coin went back in time to the thought-of year.
Out of Body: A spectator cuts to any card, removes it and places it in his pocket. The rest of the deck is placed back in the box and held by the spectator. With no hesitation you can immediately name the selected card with one-hundred percent accuracy.
Casino Royale: One of Larry Becker's most popular and favourite routines where a spectator randomly selects one of fifty casino chips, a handful of bills and two playing cards. A prediction envelope, which has been in full view the entire time, is opened and inside is predicted the name of the casino, how much money was taken and the Blackjack hand selected by the spectator.
Kolossal Killer III: A streamlined version of a marketed routine where a thought-of card is revealed by removing a prediction from your wallet that has been held by the spectator the entire time.
Clearly Predictable: Prior to the show a spectator is handed a prediction envelope and the classified section of a newspaper. She is instructed to circle any ad and initial her choice. She also removes a bill from her purse and initials it. An audience member then selects a playing card from a jumbo deck. In rapid succession the selection is revealed printed on the newspaper and when the prediction envelope is opened it reveals the exact wording of the selected classified ad and the serial number of the initialled bill.
Calendar Caper: A sealed prediction reveals the month a spectator was born and his favourite card.

Russian Roulette - £29.99

Imagine a trick that is as powerful and exciting for the performer as it is for the spectators. An effect that truly never gets boring. An effect that adds drama and suspense to any act.
Imagine an effect that can be done anywhere, anytime. An effect that can stand alone as a routine by itself. No longer do you need to imagine. It is here and it's called Russian Roulette. This effect was created by Alan Rorrison and has been the most requested effect we have ever released.

The Rundown: So at this point you might be asking yourself: "Are these guys insane? Does this use a real gun with live rounds?" No. This effect is the magician’s version of the Russian roulette. It uses no guns at all. In fact it uses just the most basic of props: 3 Styrofoam cups and a big scary nail. (Other "safe" methods are taught where there is no need for a nail or any dangerous item)
The Performance: The Magician presents 3 cups and a very sharp nail. He tells the spectator that he may choose any of the 3 cups to put over the nail, and once the nail is covered he should mix the cups around so there is no way for the Magician to know where the nail might be. This happens as the Magician's back is turned.
Now, the Magician turns back around and proceeds to dramatically play "Russian roulette" smashing each cup as hard as he can. With each cup the danger grows, one mistake and he'll have a nail right through his hand. With a twist ending, the Magician ends up safe and unharmed having chosen the correct cup.
