The magician passes a large needle with a ribbon through the middle of a matchbox.

The matchbox is now given to the spectator to examine.

The spectator gets their first surprise when they pick up the box - it is very heavy.

When opened the entire inside of the box contains a solid brass block.

There is no way the needle could have passed through the block.

The spectator can examine all apparatus.

Easy to do and very baffling.
