The magician displays a brass wand, a solid wooden cube with a hole thru it and a square tube, which is just large enough to receive the cube. The cube is inserted and pushed to the top of the tube; the wand is placed through another hole that passes through the tube and the cube, thus securing the cube at the top of the tube. The whole assembly is placed on the palm of the hand. On command, the cube is visibly seen to pass through the wand and fall freely through the tube and drop in the magician's hand. The effect can be immediately repeated.
