The performer thrusts the blade downward, apparently through the spectator's finger, but breaking the wooden match! Of course, the spectator's finger is left unharmed. Now, he places the hand of a spectator through the large hole. The other two holes are filled with small carrots etc. He forces down the blade through the arm, cutting the vegetables. But the hand remains unharmed.
